10 Top tips packing your bike for travel.
0. Keep useless at home :If you are not sure if you need it, don’t take
it.
1 check again your packing, drop anything you don’t really need
2 Anything heavy goes as low as possible.
3 Separate all your kit into their own dry bags, it makes it easier to
take the bag you want and keep everything dry. Also helps to move things
around.
4 Balance the bike. Try not to pack everything at the back
5 Use Pannier Pockets or a tank bag. Something like the Giant Loop Great
Basin sits on the passenger seat.
6 Keep Heavy tools low down. A Base-plate is a great location to stash
heavy tools
7 After you have packed put the front and back wheel on some scales, you
want as close as possible the same weight on the front as the back.
8 After everything is done adjust your suspension to the new weight.
